Privacy

A clear look at your privacy.

This policy explains what SudokuGG may store, why it is used and how to contact us with a privacy question.

The short version

SudokuGG is an account-free browser puzzle site. We use local browser storage to make games work and our hosting provider may process ordinary technical logs. Advertising or optional analytics will not be activated silently: this policy and the required consent controls will be updated when those services are enabled.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to visits to sudokugg.com, including its games, printable tools and guides. SudokuGG is the publisher responsible for the site. Links to other websites are governed by the privacy practices of those websites.

Information stored in your browser

The games use browser storage, including localStorage, to remember settings and gameplay state. Depending on the module, this can include a selected theme, difficulty, unfinished grid, notes, elapsed time, best time, Daily Sudoku completion or streak information. These values are associated with the browser on your device; SudokuGG does not currently use an account to connect them to your name.

You can remove this information by clearing site data for sudokugg.com in your browser. Doing so may erase unfinished puzzles, preferences and local records. Essential storage is used to provide the feature you requested and is not intended to follow you across unrelated websites.

Hosting and technical logs

When you request a page, our hosting and delivery providers may process standard information needed to deliver and secure it. This can include an IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, approximate time, referring page and security events. These logs help prevent abuse, investigate errors and keep the site available. They are handled under the provider's own security and retention practices.

Analytics

No optional third-party analytics script is intentionally active in the current release. If analytics is introduced, SudokuGG will describe the provider and purpose here and, where required, request consent before non-essential identifiers are stored or read. Aggregate information may be used to understand page performance, screen sizes and errors without trying to identify an individual visitor.

Advertising and Google AdSense

SudokuGG may use Google AdSense after the site is accepted into the program. When advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses or other identifiers to deliver, limit, personalize and measure ads, detect fraud and produce reports. Google may use data from a visit in accordance with its own privacy and advertising policies.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising will be connected to a Google-certified consent management platform before eligible ads are served. The consent message will provide choices required for the selected advertising setup. You will be able to revisit those choices through a visible privacy control after the service is enabled.

Advertising providers may change over time. The live consent interface, this policy and the Cookie Policy will identify the relevant purposes and controls. SudokuGG does not ask visitors to click advertisements and does not reward ad clicks.

Accounts, messages and personal information

SudokuGG does not currently require an account. If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to include. If you use the contact form, the reply address, selected topic, optional page address and message are submitted through Netlify’s form-processing service and made available to the SudokuGG site operator. This information is used to answer the message, investigate a report or maintain a reasonable record of the conversation. Please do not send sensitive personal information in a bug report.

If account, newsletter or payment features are added later, their data practices will be explained before collection begins.

Retention and security

Browser game data remains until you or the browser removes it, or until a later version replaces the saved format. Contact messages and technical records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, legal or operational purposes. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we use HTTPS and limit the information the game itself needs.

Your choices and rights

You can clear local game data, decline non-essential consent choices when offered, use browser privacy controls and contact us about personal information you supplied directly. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. We may need enough information to verify and understand a request.

Children

The puzzles are suitable for a general audience, but the service is not directed specifically at children under the age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly request a child's name, account or profile. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied personal information can contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy when the site, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top will be updated, and material changes will be presented before they take effect when required.
