SudokuGG games may use localStorage, a browser feature that keeps small pieces of data on your device. It can remember an unfinished board, selected theme, sound and highlighting preferences, completion statistics, a daily streak and printable settings. This allows play to continue without requiring an account.
LocalStorage is not automatically sent to SudokuGG as part of normal gameplay. It remains associated with the browser profile unless you clear site data, use private browsing or a browser policy removes it.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text value a website or approved third-party service can store in a browser. Cookies can support essential functions, measure aggregated usage, remember consent choices or help select and measure advertising. Cookies differ from localStorage technically, but both are controlled through browser and site-data settings.
Categories that may apply
Essential storage
Used for game state, preferences, security and consent choices. Removing it may reset a puzzle or return controls to their defaults.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled, it may collect information such as page views, approximate location, device category, browser type and interaction events. SudokuGG should use this information to understand reliability and improve pages, not to identify the contents of a puzzle entry as personal information.
Advertising
If Google AdSense or another advertising provider is enabled, that provider may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve, limit, personalise or measure ads according to applicable law and your consent choices. Google explains how information from sites that use its services is handled in its own privacy documentation.
Consent in regulated regions
Where required, visitors should be offered a consent interface before non-essential advertising or analytics storage is used. The available choices may include accepting all purposes, rejecting non-essential purposes or managing vendors and purposes individually. Withdrawing consent should be possible through the same interface or a persistent privacy link once advertising is activated.
The absence of an advertising banner before ads are enabled does not mean browser storage is absent; essential game progress may still be stored locally.
How to control or delete data
- Use your browser’s privacy or site-data settings to inspect and remove storage for sudokugg.com.
- Use private browsing if you do not want game progress retained after the session.
- Block third-party cookies through browser settings, recognising that some external features may behave differently.
- Use the consent controls presented on the site if non-essential services are enabled.
Deleting site data can remove saved puzzles, settings, streaks and locally stored statistics. SudokuGG cannot restore local data that never left your device.
